Dick Cheny, shot somebody. Let me repeat that. DICK....CHENEY....shot somebody. He did this while quail hunting. That's right, our Vice President managed to shoot another human being while participating in an elitist sport. I can only imagine that Jon Stewart is at home thanking God for this moment, not unlike Jay Leno thanking Dan Quail for mispelling potato (or was it potatoe?) Hmm...Quail, quail...I see some irony in there somewhere. This really could only happen in America. God bless the USA.

They Actually Got One Right
Well, for those of us on the East Coast, it would seem that the weather guys finally got one right. They called for 10-14 inches, and we actually got it. I'll be damned. Given how the "meteorologists" like to tell us that every time the temperature drops we're going to experience another ice age, it was almost relieving to look out my window this morning and see a good foot of snow on the ground. I doubt this will become a trend, but hey, it was nice to see it work out once.
