Well, I'm done for another semester, which sadly means about 4 days. Summer classes is just wrong, but dammit if I'm not done being a college student. It took the better part of a semester, but I think my German 102 professor finally realized that we're not all native speakers of German, and quit making her exams so damned hard. I'm pretty sure failing your entire class reflects badly on you as a teacher.
Well, Shawn, my boss at Cheeseburger, quit on Thurday without any warning. I was on my way down to Richmond to celebrate April's birthday when Kristen, of the bartenders I work with, called me to inform me that Shawn had just told Craig, his boss, that the 11th would be his last day. Can't say that I saw that coming, but we did all predict Andy, the Kitchen Manager and Shawn's Brother-in-Law, leaving by the end of the week...he didn't even make it to the end of the day.
In good news, April graduates in about 4 days, so I get to see her for a couple of days. Her birthday was great, we had tons of fun bar-hopping through Richmond, but one evening is not enough time to spend with her. As much as I know she doesn't want to, I'm ready for her to be up here again so that we can see more of each other.
In other news, in the next two weeks, two of the most anticipated movies of the Summer will be coming to theaters. The Da Vinci Code and X-Men: The Last Stand. I've read The Da Vinci Code and despite all the talk, debate, and scandal surrounding the book, I think it will make an excellent movie...and let's be honest, how can you go wrong with Tom Hanks and Sir Ian McKellen in a movie?
X3 brings the trilogy to an end with the introduction of more new characters, Beast and Angel means they've had all of the five original X-Men on film, and the introduction of the Mutant Cure means that somebody's going to lose their powers. I'll throw up some reviews as soon as I watch them both.
There, life updated for this week.

Another One in the Can
Well, with the exception of two exams, this semester is over for me. It was certainly one of the more stressful ones I've had since returning from my two year break, but most of that was my own doing. Three 300 level English classes will lend to a little stress, especially when coupled with German at any level.
April's birthday celebration is tomorrow (even though her birthday was actually on Monday), and I'm all geared up to go down there and have fun bar-hopping with her. Truth be told though, I'm really looking forward to her graduation next week on the 20th, but that's mostly because I took two days off instead of just one so that we could have some time together to relax and enjoy each others' company.
I failed to submit for Subter.com for the first time since Brad started it, and I don't actually feel bad about it. I mean, I wanted to submit, but when it came down to it, it was either write for subter, or get my work done for my final papers, and as much as I love subter, I like getting good grades too, and an article for subter won't get me that. Brad understood.
Work continues to be work. I managed to oversleep and miss the Native Party, which is what we called the party they throw at the 1 year mark to thank those that have been there since opening, but from what I've heard, I didn't miss anything that I can't see on any night at somebody's house. I'll get over it.
I think that's all I have to rant about for now. I'm waiting for new movies to come out that I actually want to watch (3 more weeks until X3), and once those start coming out, I'll start throwing some reviews up here. Also, once all the feeds from E3 2006 are up and I can watch and read some of the reviews, I'll try and get some of that stuff up here too. Everything is pointint to the PS3 being even more bad-ass then we thought it was going to be.
