Well, I started classes today and it seemed (as the title suggests) a bit familiar. I'm good at working those in eh? Continuing on. Now, when I say familiar I don't mean the buildings, and I certainly don't mean the teachers, since I've never had any of them before, but more the feeling of the campus in general. Now, part of this may be because I don't live on campus, and more now than when I was a freshman, George Mason University seems to be leaning towards being less of a commuter school. But, getting back to those feelings, which I only have two of you know. Anyways. The feelings I got as I walked around campus were like somebody returning to their old high school after 10 years. Now, I'm 24, so I'm not that old, but I am older than a good number of people on my campus, but as I walked around and saw all of the obviously good friends that probably hadn't seen each other for over a month during Winter Break embrace and, in the case of a number of obviously freshman girls, emit ear-piercing squeals, I realized that it was like being back in high school again. And I shuddered.
Fortunately, being that I'm a junior, I don't have classes with most of these people. I'm sure you can sense my disappointment. But, on a plus note all of my classes (that's 2 for those of you counting) seem interesting, and my teachers seem interesting as well, always a plus, though one of them seems as queer as a $3 bill (that's a quote from my Mom...gotta love her). So, I'm back at school for another semester, managed not to kill anybody tomorrow, can't promise that that's a trend that will continue, but tomorrow is another day.

Out of the Blackhole
For those of you that have actually lived in the Woodbridge area, you know that it is what we refer to as a "blackhole." This is on two levels. The first one being the traditional sense of nothing ever being ever to truly escape that damned place. The second being that it seems to suck any fun out of anything. There is nothing to do in that God-forsaken place. But I have escaped. Yes, I have managed to get out of Woodbridge. Granted, this is only for about a week, but when you're looking for something to do and finding nothing, a week is more than enough. After an insane Martin Luther King Jr. Day (which I made a cool $100 bucks bartending in the morning), I have managed to make my way to the wonderful (insert snickering here) city of Richmond to see me girlfriend. Since I don't start classes until the 24th of January, I actually have a little mini-vacation that I plan to enjoy. What am I going to do on my vacation? I'm glad you asked. I'm going to finish reading my book, work on some of my own stories, and do some more work for my subter.com article...still working on the photos. Other than that, I'm going to spend time with my April since I won't get to do a lot of that this semester with both of our school and work schedules looking hectic already. Oh, and somewhere in the middle of all this fun, I'm going to drink. Yeah...gotta do that before I have to be a "responsible adult" and "buckle down and do my work." Ugh.
So, for all of those out there that have already started school *cough* BRAD! *cough* hope you're having fun, and to those like me that have yet to start...WHAT ARE YOU READING THIS POST FOR!?!?! GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING!!!

Back in the Saddle
Well, I'm back. The holiday season is over and I've managed to survive it yet again. I've managed a few things over this nice little break from school: made some money, spent time with my April, wrote an article, worked on my own writing, and managed to neglect this site for about a month now. BAD GEORGE! But now I'm back, things are settling down (although April leaves today which sux a big one), but on two upnotes I just got the kitten back from being neutered and de-clawed (please no hate-mail), and my friend Katie Horsfall (can't remember her married name for the life of me) just had her baby 3 days ago. To see a picture of Anna Michele, follow the not so white rabbit (it's not really a rabbit at all) to her first website and check out the photos. Congratulations guys. Now I just have to get down there and meet the little bugger. But anyways...hope everybody out there in internet land had a good holiday, I'm back and better then ever (?) and hopefully I can now be a good little writer and do some damned writing
