It's About Time

So, a judge finally put his foot down. In case you missed it, Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail this past week for violating her probation and driving on a suspended license. She claims she didn't know it was suspended or that she couldn't drive to and from work (whatever that entails).
In a world where celebrities are increasingly treated like a separate sect of society that doesn't have to answer for their crimes, it's nice to see a judge that doesn't care how much money Paris or her family has. She broke the law, and now she's going to jail like the rest of us would. Maybe this will be a lesson to the other celebrities and athletes out there that don't think the law applies to them, or that they can buy their way out of any trouble they might actually get themselves into.
I hope prison suits you Paris, because you're going to be spending some time there. Orange might turn out to be your color. You never know.
