Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger

Ok, so I'm totally stealing this idea from Stephen Colbert (love that show), but I think it's a good way to give a congrats and shake my head at two different people.
First, I give my tip of the hat to Sean Penn. While I don't usually like Penn's work, I don't think he's really all that good of an actor, and his hyper-liberal politics can be annoying at best, when he appeared on the Colbert Report yesterday for a Metaphor-off with Stephen Colbert, he was funy, self deprecating, and very relaxed. Mr. Penn, you get my tip of the hat for not being a douche and having a sense of humor that many seem to lack when they go on the Colbert Report.
My wag of the finger goes to, possibly, the biggest douche-bag out there right now. Jack Thompson didn't even wait for the bodies at Virginia Tech to cool before he was on the air condemning the video game industry. Even as reports filtered in that the shooter wasn't an avid video game player, didn't play any of the violent games that Thompson blames for pretty much anything my generation does, he was insistent that he knew what was going on better than qualified law and mental health professionals. Mr. Thompson, even though it's pretty obvious the Florida is going to disbar you before too much longer, why don't you save us all some time and just go and play in traffic. Frogger wasn't really violent, but I'm pretty sure if you play it a few times and then emulate, everybody will be happy with the results. Douche.
