Ok, in a little over a week, the world of movies will be graced with the newest rap movie, thanks to MTV. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will be gracing us with "Get Rich or Die Tryin." I'll let that sink in. Go ahead, take a minute. Back with me? Good.
Now, I know that a lot of young kids are going to want to see this movie, though why I'm not sure. I for one will not be seeing it. There are a number of reasons that I can't make myself even come close to seeing this: I don't care about 50 Cent, I refuse to put any more money in the pockets of an already rich man just for telling his "life story", and they already made this movie, it was called 8 Mile and I didn't see it then either.
Now, I'm sure this little rant won't change the fact that Get Rich.. will probably be number 1 at the box-office next week when it comes out, but I'll feel better for having said why it's a waste of money to go see this movie. There....I feel better.
