Well, it's official, the world is coming to an end. What could possibly signal me that the end of days is upon us? Well, while being a bum this fine morning and flipping through the channels, I happened to stop on VH1, not sure why, but it happened. Amazingly, they were actually playing videos. Sadly, I caught a video that nearly blinded me. No, not another Jessica Simpson video showing how much she "loves" her husband. No, this video starred Nelly (which is bad enough if you ask me) doing a duet (or featuring if you're into the "lingo") Tim McGraw. Go ahead, I'll give you a second to read that again and let it sink in.
The single/video "Over and Over", shows Nelly and Mr. McGraw pining for their loves, Nelly to some girl I don't know, and Tim to his lovely wife Faith Hill (his wife Brad, not yours). While I couldn't make myself sit through the whole thing, it was sad to see Tim actually seem to be taking the video seriously. I mean honestly, how can you be a best selling country singer, be married to one of the most famous women in music at the moment, and then go do a song with a "rapper" that really wants to be hardcore, but keeps coming up pop?
Having seen this, I'm waiting for the announcement that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are getting divorced to be coming soon. If you'd like to see the train-wreck that is this video for yourself, it's available at MTV.com or VH1.com.

Yeah I know what you mean sweetie. As a country music listener I like Tim McGraw, I even like Nelly on his own, who am I to deny the catchyness of "it's gettin hot in heeeeerrrre!" But why on earth they would ever collaborate I don't really get...perhaps it is not meant to be understood.

You are so beyond the times. That video is nearly months old. A more accurate sign the end is near is VH1, MTV, MTV2, and CMT all showing videos (any video) this morning... at the same time.
